Rai

These past few days, it's been raining and drizzling continuously. And today, the rain is particularly heavy. People say it's the effect of Chinese New Year, where it always rains for days. But as far as I can remember, it's true that it has rained during some Chinese New Year celebrations šŸ¤”

Is it just a coincidence?

Oh no! There's no such thing as coincidence in this world, all events are essentially fate that has been predetermined by Allah.

As a result of this rain, many people are complaining because their clothes are not drying, and many plans are being postponed and ending up being unsuccessful. A few days before, it was scorching hot. People complained again because they were exposed to the sun. The roads were dusty and uncomfortable, making people lazy to travel.

Why?

Everyone complains and wonders. But, I sometimes complain too. Often, we think that as humans, we are the ones who have the right to determine whether the weather in the place we live in is good or not. We want all our activities to not be disrupted by the weather.

Hah?! Such thoughts slowly train us to become people who like to complain and grumble, even though what we complain about may be something that others hope for, even though ultimately everything is Allah's blessings that we should be grateful for.

Just enjoy the rain, while praying. Allahumma shoyyiban naafi'an. Oh Allah, send down beneficial rain upon us.

Anyway, the fact is that today is still a public holiday in Singapore, Malaysia, and several other countries! And it's raining. Just imagine people lying down wrapped in blankets, waking up and slurping on instant noodles 🤤

Nadya.
